In line with the GDPR, this Privacy Notice explains how we at Tregony Guest House use any personal information that we collect about you. We are committed to safeguarding your personal information.

What information we collect about you

When you make a booking with us, we collect the name of the guest who is making the booking, their telephone number, and email address. We also collect a debit or credit card number (long card number, expiry date, and 3-digit number on the back) to take the deposit equal to the first night of your stay.

How we use the information

We will use your email address to send you confirmation of the booking, as well as extra information, such as details on how to find us, check-in times, and if requested, information about parking, restaurant recommendations, and local attractions to help you plan your visit.

We may use your telephone number to contact you if your room is ready early, to let you know that an earlier check-in is available, and/or to request an estimated time of arrival, if we have been unable to contact you by email.

Immediately after your stay, we may need to use your telephone number and/or email address to contact you if you have left any personal items in the room, to arrange collection of, or postage of item/s.

How is your data stored

All of the personal and debit/credit card data that you supply to us, as part of the booking process, is stored securely on a third party system, Eviivo, and on a paper booking form stored in a locked filing cabinet.

Neither we, nor Eviivo, will share your information with any third party unless there is a legal reason for doing so.

Guest Registration

We are required by law to collect the following information on all our guests. We do this by asking you to complete a registration form on arrival.

For commonwealth guests;

  • Name, address, email address, telephone number, car type and registration

Additional information for non commonwealth guests;

  • Nationality, passport number, next destination

The guest registration forms are stored safely in a locked filing cabinet. We are required to keep these registration forms for a year and show them to a police officer if they request to see them. We will destroy these forms 12 months after your stay.

Access to your information

Cookies

Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information. This information is used to track visitor use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity.
